Catching up

I have a lot of stuff to add I just haven't had the time lately. So until I do, I figured I would post a picture of Cooper eating a pickle. OK he isn't really eating it but he is sure enjoying chewing it.

Crawling

For the last month or so Cooper has been on all fours and rocking when he is on the floor. Last night he did the cutest thing, I just have to share. I was standing on the side of the couch and he did an army crawl to me! He kept trying to move on all fours but would fall to his stomach. I was amazed at how fast he could move! Rob grabbed the video camera and of course Cooper wouldn't do it for much longer.

I guess next week we should probably start baby proofing the house.

Welcome Emma!!

Last Tuesday we welcomed another baby into the family. Emma Ann Transier was born at 8:11 PM to proud parents Teri and Justin. She is a small baby for the Transier family, she weighed only 8 pounds 3 ounces. Teri was scheduled to be born on the 6th so it was a surprise for everyone that she decided to come on the 4th.

First Hair Cut

Tonight we took Cooper for his first hair cut at Kids Cuts. As I watched my little boy sitting in a big boy barber chair (with three cushions) I had to fight back a couple tears. Can he really be 6 months old already and need a hair cut? Here is the before picture:

Could he be any cuter?

Where did a month go?

I can't believe it's been a month since I have put anything on the blog. We have been really busy. Here is what we have been doing:

2/5: Cooper and I took our first light rail ride to grandma and grandpa's house from my work to borrow their car. I was amazed at how people were so nice and made room for us even during rush hour.

2/7: Cooper and I took at trip to Houston, TX to visit the Moshers. Cooper did awesome on all the flights. I used our miles and we had a layover in Charlotte, NC. We had two full days of traveling. He slept on every flight and hardly cried. It was so great to see everyone again. I couldn't believe how big all the kids were and how incredible they were with Cooper. At times they were fighting over who could hold him, play with him or sit by him. We had great weather while we were down there, it was fun to dress him in shorts! The picture of Cooper and I is from our last nice day in Texas at the Kemah boardwalk. It was so great to see open water and even fish. Here is Cooper with shrimping boats in the background. Not exactly something we see every day in Minnesota. My cousin Teri is pregnant with her third baby and her mother in law threw her a baby shower while we were down there. I really enjoyed being able to attend her shower. We did so many fun things the days just flew by and then it was time to go home. It was really hard to leave the 70 degree and sunny weather. When we got back to Minnesota I think it was around 15 degrees. You have to love Minnesota.

2/19: Coopers first tooth pushed it's way out! He has another one that you can see but it hasn't popped out yet. I have tried to take a picture of his tooth, but he doesn't like to show it.

2/23: Today was a big day for us. We started out the day by going to Cooper's first Gopher basketball game. Every year for Christmas Ron and Donna give us tickets to a game and then we go out for lunch afterwards at Sally's, what a great tradition. Even though the girls didn't win Cooper enjoyed the first half with all the noise, action and colors. By the second half he was pooped and slept the rest of the game. At Sally's Di and Rog met us for lunch so we got to see them as well. It's always nice to catch up with them and hear about Diane's travels.

The second big thing that happened today was Cooper tried Sweet Potatoes for the first time! He doesn't seem to like them as much as rice cereal but we are working on it.

2/26: Today he officially outgrew his infant car seat and moved up to his big boy car seat. He was getting so heavy in the infant carrier and his head was poking out the top.

Today we also had quite the adventure. I got an email from our day care saying one of the girls has RSV. Cooper had a cough the night before and had just started wheezing. Just to be safe we figured I should bring him in to ready care. As we were sitting in the full waiting room Cooper starts to cough so hard that he puked all over me. Not much I could do at this point but laugh and wipe it up. Another mother in there chuckled and said "I am glad we are past that stage". Thanks lady. After waiting for what seemed to be hours we see the doctor and sure enough Cooper has RSV as well. So Rob and I took turns staying home with him because he couldn't go to daycare.
We have reached some great milestones this month, I can't wait to see what March brings.
