We had our first baby shower last Sunday the 24th. It was a combined shower for my sister, my cousin's daughter (Allie) and myself for the Boie side of the family. Considering it is summer and everyone is super busy we had a full house! We played a couple games, one being people guessing the size of our belly's by tearing the length on a roll of toilet paper. Each person choose the pregnant girl they would like to estimate for. Donna Peterson my mother in law won for guessing the closest to my belly, Katie Boie was the closest in guessing her sisters belly size and Adrian's Great Aunt won for Christy. It's pretty amazing to see how big you are by seeing it laying on the floor with toilet paper! I was amazed by the amount of gifts all of us received. Everyone was so generous, I am so glad I brought the truck. Here are some pictures from the shower.

Back to School!
We just found out that Rob got accepted into the Carlson Part-time MBA program and will be going back to school this fall! I am so proud of him!!
Doctor appointment and baby classes
Yesterday was a busy day for us. We had our 30 week doctor appointment and everything went great. My doctor was really happy with the way this pregnancy is progressing and kept saying we are making his job really easy. It's always so good to hear that and to hear the baby's heartbeat. I am right in line with the "typical" weight gain, which was also good to hear. Rob did remember to ask if it's ok for me to change the cat litter box and needless to say I wasn't to happy with the answer. My doctor said as long as the cats don't get out and eat small woodland animals I shouldn't have any problems changing the cat litter. I really did like the 6 month break.
After the doctor we had our first birthing class. It is 2.5 hours long and lasts for EIGHT weeks but they cover everything! From labor, delivery, nursing to caring for an infant. All of which both Rob and I don't know much about. Even though they did some let's get to know each other activities, which can sometimes painful, it was a really good class. It was interesting to talk to people about being pregnant that are also pregnant. I really enjoyed hearing Rob answer some of the questions and talk about the pregnancy since we don't talk much about it. OK I talk about it, but normally he just listens. Plus the instructor keep giving the dads information specifically for them, tips for how they might be feeling when the time comes and things they can do to help keep the moms comfortable and supported. I was kind of nervous going in to the class with not knowing what to expect, but I am really glad we signed up for this class. I think both Rob and I will learn a lot from this class and hopefully they won't show us to many graphic delivery videos. :)
I am so thankful for how great Rob has been though this whole pregnancy. Because I can't do as much as I used to he has been so helpful! I almost have to fight him to let me do somethings around the house. I am truly lucky to have such a great husband.

Babymoon
This past weekend Rob and I went to New Ulm for a baby moon (babymoon: a vacation or holiday taken by a pregnant woman and her partner.)
We stayed at this really incredible bed and breakfast (http://www.bingham-hall.com/). If you are ever in New Ulm and looking for a place to stay, we would highly recommend this place. The food was fantastic! They thought of so many small details it made it a really great trip. For example each room has a 32 in TV/DVD player, Chenille robes, a community stocked fridge with water and sodas for all their guests and a package of gourmet fudge they left in our room. The owner on Saturday morning was telling us about the local attractions and suggested we go to the local vineyard. Then I told her I was pregnant and that I would love to go there, but the temptation might be to much. :) When we got back from the Schell's brewery tour she had bought me a bottle of wine from the vineyard to celebrate with after the baby is born. I couldn't believe it! We had such a great time, it was hard to come home.

Update
I am currently 29 weeks pregnant and still doing great!
The baby and I went to our first concert on Monday with our friend Angie. The entire time the bands were playing the baby must have been dancing! I was kicked pretty much for 3 hours straight! I think we have a future music lover on our hands.
